Latest UHUDA Affordable Housing Scheme With MDDA

UHUDA is working actively to launch and implement Uttarakhand housing schemes and projects. One of the most significant initiatives of the authority is in collaboration with the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA). 

This project includes building around 16,000 affordable homes for the economically weaker sections. It is set to be completed by March 2025. 

UHUDA is constructing 12,856 affordable homes across 15 projects in partnership with private investors. On the other hand, local authorities are constructing 3,104 homes across 5 other projects. Additionally, MDDA is working on building 704 flats across 3 projects. 

In December 2024, MDDA handed over 1,760 homes, and 14,635 were allocated to beneficiaries. These affordable two-room homes come with essential amenities. Each house is priced at INR 6 lakhs. 

However, beneficiaries can avail of INR 3.5 lakhs in government subsidies. As a result, the cost of a home becomes only INR 2.5 lakhs which can be availed for a home loan easily. 

Families with less than INR 3 lakhs annual income are eligible for this scheme. Also, they must have lived in Uttarakhand since June 2015. This scheme is inspired by PM Awas Yojana and is guided by the principle of Antyodaya to offer permanent housing to homeless families.

The official website of the authority offers various online services like RERA and RERA Portal. The website – uhuda.uk.gov.in is a one-stop destination for homeowners to access all the services.  

It allows you to log in to the eASE app and even the RERA Portal. In addition to this, the website also allows you to go through all the crucial manuals through its RTI section. 

This platform also contains the latest circulations and notices relevant to the authority’s housing  schemes. The portal allows you to report complaints to the government through the Grievance/ Complaint section.
