Delhi Metro Golden Line (Previously Silver Line) Details
Delhi Metro’s Golden Line is part of phase 4 of the extensive Delhi Metro network. A mass rapid transit system, Delhi Metro is spread across the National Capital Region (NCR). The Delhi metro is demarcated with several colour-coded lines for each route. The Golden Line is the newest addition to the existing metro network in Delhi.
The Golden Line of the Delhi Metro is line 10 of the Delhi Metro’s extensive network. The design and approval process of the Golden Line began a few years back. However, due to several delays, the project got delayed to a great extent. Currently, there are 15 proposed stations on the Delhi Metro Golden Line. The total length of the Golden Line is around 23.62 km. The line is likely to be completed by March 2026.

The Delhi Metro Golden Line station in Tughlaqabad will be an interchange station at level 4. Therefore, to improve the station’s accessibility, stairs, lifts, and elevators will be installed. In addition, a 100-meter subway will also be there to connect the existing station at Tughlaqabad to the new interchange station.

Delhi Metro Golden Line Status
The tunnelling work of the stretch between the Kishangarh and Vasant Kunj metro stations on the Delhi Metro Golden Line has been completed. DMRC authorised officials have disclosed that the boring machine has completed evacuation at one tunnel at the Vasant Kunj station. The second tunnel on the same stretch of the Golden Line Metro is expected to be completed by June 2025. The construction work of the entire Delhi Metro Golden Line is expected to be completed by March 2026.
